A musician since the age of 5, Thill has always had a passion for the stage. Of French and Italian origins, many of his earlier years were spent in England, from secondary school to music college. While Thill started as an instrumentalist, singing allowed him to combine his passion for both music and theatre. During his degree at the Trinity College of Music, London, he also took part in The Knack, a course run by the ENO's Baylis Programme, as well as the two year Drama Course at The City Lit. He then spent a year in New York working at the Castillo Theatre as a stage hand, set builder and lights and sound operator.

From Aeneas in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas to Demetrius in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream,  the Conte di Almaviva in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, Baron de Gondremarck in Offenbach's La Vie Parisienne, Adonis in Blow's Venus and Adonis, Toledo in Rivas' Aliados, Thill's diverse repertoire includes opera, oratorio, chamber music, musicals and contemporary music.
